How to Join

We believe in regenerate church membership.

Become a Member

At Gravel Hill, we take church membership seriously. We believe that intentional church membership with strong accountability makes for a healthier church community.

We have a membership class for all prospective members, including those baptized in other Baptist churches. This class helps show Gravel Hill's doctrine, structure, vision, and ministry so that each member be better equipped to thrive in our church. We ask that each person who wants to join participate in this class and sign a covenant with the church. This commitment holds you accountable to the church and more importantly holds us as a church accountable to you. The class is offered quarterly and lasts for three weeks.

After the class, the next step is an interview with the pastor(s). This is an opportunity for us to get to know you, hear your testimony, and answer any questions you have about Gravel Hill. We also ask that you give you a verbal or written testimony so that we can share it with the church for everyone to get to know you and be encouraged by your story.

We believe that baptism is the immersion in water of a new believer to signify his or her new birth in Christ. It proclaims the new Christian's faith to the church community. We believe that any individual of any age may be saved and baptized with an adequate understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Before being baptized, we ask each person to spend time with the pastor over a few weeks discussing salvation, baptism, and discipleship.

If you have questions about baptism, church membership, or anything at all, we’d love to hear from you. Fill out the form below with your question, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
