Overseeing the Flock

Pastors

2 Timothy 4:1-2

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

  • Duncan Collins

    Teaching Pastor & Elder

Duncan was blessed to grow up in a Christian home that prioritized regular prayer, reading God’s Word, and attending church. God saved him at an early age through the dedication of his parents and those at First Baptist Church in Hope, AR. God used the faithful preaching of several ministers to nurture and develop his rudimentary belief in his adolescent years. Through God’s providence, Duncan attended Ouachita Baptist University, largely due to baseball recruitment. During his senior year, Duncan experienced a deep conviction and call to enter into vocational ministry. He then attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary where he obtained an M. Div. in 2016 and a Ph. D. in Old Testament in 2022.  During seminary, Duncan married his high school sweetheart Krystal. They have two sons: Mack and Calvin. Duncan believes God has called him to proclaim His Word and to teach and train the members of Gravel Hill to study and love their Bibles.

  • Rayom Ribeiro

    Discipleship Pastor & Elder

Rayom was born in Brazil and raised in Kauai, Hawaii. For years he consciously ran away from God. In 2010, God mercifully saved Rayom from dying in his sin, and since then Rayom has had an insatiable desire to know God through the Bible. Eventually, he was taken under the wing of a pastor, who personally poured into his life for three years. During this time, Rayom was introduced to pastoral ministry and was taught hermeneutics and biblical counseling. Since then, Rayom has served as a missionary in Zambia, a youth pastor, and a Bible teacher/campus pastor at a Christian School. Rayom is joyfully married to Brooke, who is his crown and glory, and together they have three boys: Benaiah, Cedar, and Valor. In 2023, Rayom accepted God’s call to Gravel Hill Baptist Church, where he wants to help believers live for the glory of Christ, share the gospel wherever they are, and be able to recognize, resist, and refute error with truth in love.

Deacons

1 Timothy 3:13

For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
